Residential Moves Local Move "We’re sorry its taken so long to write an accommodation for the individuals involved in our July 1 move from Mount Pleasant to John’s Island. From our first call to receive an estimate, the individuals answering the phones to the movers, each has been an excellent representative for your company. Having been involved with moves in the past (ours and friends), we were skeptical of receiving an efficient and low cost experience. We were proven wrong.
When your salesperson reviewed our household, she assured us our items would be handled with care and in a timely manner. She was proven right. Our move took place on a terribly hot/humid lowcountry day. The crew arrived at 9:30 am and stopped only for water breaks. They met us at the new house within 15 minutes of our arrival and again didn’t stop except for water. They were very polite and extremely accommodating of any/all requests. With their "hustle" they kept the time we had to pay for to a minimum which we really appreciate. The move came in under the estimate which documents the efficiency of the movers and under extreme weather conditions. We will absolutely recommend your company to all our friends and family. "

Local Move The Dale Cook Moving Company just about saved my life a few weeks ago. I sold my home suddenly and the buyers wanted me out in less than 30 days. After waiting for them to get their mortgage approved and the inspection done, I began looking for a home for me. I found one and it was vacant. I had 10 days to pack and move and salesperson came to my rescue. She not only got me moved, but they worked around a potential hurricane to get me into my new home. And nothing broke! That has never happened to me. Dale Cook and is the very best!
Local Move I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how wonderful the team was today - the driver and his crew were meticulous and considerate, and still they hustled like I’ve never seen. They were all friendly, informative and patient with both my and Andy’s questions. What could have been a stressful day (as any move is) was actually a pleasure for both of us - and I hope, for the guys. There was even a lot of laughter!
Little things really mean a lot to me - things like Hollis installing the moving screws for us on the washing machine, and Tony being so careful with the pieces that I care about, like the china cabinet. Also, because we have just laid new hardwood floors in the new home, I was concerned about scratching them. I had bought many little felt pads to affix to the legs of the furniture, and the guys were so indulgent with me about them. They paused coming in, letting me quickly put the pads on the feet - and they even put them on for me when I was not at the door for the "arrival" of a piece of furniture! That kind of consideration and thoughtfulness really impresses me.
We bought them lunch as a thank you - it was the least we could do - but please pass on our thanks to your management for such a great crew. As you know, we are planning for this to be our last home, but we will recommend you to everyone we know who might need a moving company in the future.
Lastly, thank you - for understanding and meeting all of my needs as we planned the move together.
What a great experience - I will smile every time I see a Dale J. Cook truck on the road!
Local Move "The purpose of this email to recognize the exceptional efforts of all the people we came into contact with at the Dale J. Cook Moving Company. While we are very demanding with the service we require and not easily pleased, we were pleasantly surprised with the professionalism displayed at all levels of your company beginning with the sales staff and the great crew that was assigned to move us. Local Move "I just wanted to drop you a note, to again thank you for the excellent job you and your crew did with my move last month. I was very impressed with the professionalism and team work of your crew. Frequently with moves in the past needing 6 movers, you get pairs, with a couple of good, a couple of fair, and a couple of useless ones.....your team all worked together very well. the way you handled high value items without having to crate them was impressive. My friend who was here to help direct things, commented after that he didn’t think any of the 400+ boxes came in without the movers asking he or I to verify where the boxes were to go - that was a very pleasant surprise from some previous moves! I have mentioned your company name to several other friends and people I work with who are planning up coming moves and told them to give Dale J. Cook a call. I know I definitely will when this lease expires. Long Distance Move We hired Dale J. Cook for our move this Spring. I have to say it was a great move! I work a stressful job from a home office and I managed to bill 8 hours the day they started packing and the day they finished packing and loaded the truck. They even waited until 3PM on the second day to break down my office so I could get my work done. We had so much stuff it was embarrassing, but they got it all into the big truck including a special request of my prized 8 foot potted ficus tree that we use in our cathedral ceiling family room. They packed that truck like a puzzle. I don’t think you could have wedged your thumb in-between the boxes and the sides or the ceiling! And that is what kept my goods from getting damaged. You could really tell that they have done this many times before by the team effort that went on with packing, loading the truck and unloading. It was a like a well-practiced assembly line. They also took extra measures to protect the grass in my yard, the front door and the hardwood in my foyer (I have had other companies that did not). I was well pleased with the move and complimented them on their service. I highly recommend Dale J. Cook. Long Distance Move "We are now settled into our temporary home and our thoughts turn once again to how pleasant this moving experience with your company was compared to other moves that we have made. Believe it or now, we have moved 15 times in the 45 years that we have been married and we have never even remotely had as positive an experience as we had with your company, Dale J Cook Moving & Storage.
Most of my career was spent with a large newspaper company with newspapers all over the country and as I moved up in my carrier, I had to move to other cities. We moved from Miami to Milwaukee and many points in between and we moved with Allied, United, North American and others. None of them hold a candle to your company and the quality of care, professionalism and customer service that we received in our move from Charleston to the Upstate. In fact, we moved from Georgia to Fort Wayne, Indiana, home of North American Van Lines and were friends with the president of the company and did not have as good a moving experience as we did with your company.
Michael, our driver and his crew could not have have been more courteous and helpful in insuring that everything went smoothly. On the day they moved us into our new house, they worked until late in the evening getting everything in our home and in place. And even though they had worked in 98 degree heat and were all bone-tired after working all-day, they insisted on making sure that furniture was where we wanted it and boxes were placed according to our needs and desires. In fact, before Michael left, he insisted on going into my garage with me to move boxes, tools, etc. around to my satisfaction so that I would not have to do it by myself later. We were deeply touched by their kindness and consideration. We are just everyday people who are not special, important or deserving of any special attention, yet everyone in your company treated us like royalty. Thank you to your salesperson for all she did for us before the move and all the efforts to insure that things went smoothly. I know that you are a Charleston based company, but I sure hope you will consider coming to the Upstate next year and packing and moving us into our new home when it is complete. We are afraid that any other moving company would pale in comparison to Dale J. Cook Moving & Storage. "
